Every year we celebrate Winnipeg Bear on the third weekend of August. Whyever would a community do that? Well… Winnie was the inspiration for AA Milne’s children’s stories of course! Silly old bear…..
During Winnie’s Festival, we usually find other great things about White River to celebrate as well. This year one of the most iconic places within our town has risen to the place of honor and will be celebrated….. The Green Gables and a walk down historical Winnipeg Street.
The planning committee has the ball rolling, thinking caps on and is looking for your input on ways to celebrate. Do you have any suggestions or ideas to put forward? You are welcome to share them!
